Removing or installing RBT gearshift lever

I dont know that I ever took time to take one of thse off, but just how do you get it on or off?sm00 I found thus far the only way is to bend the piece back that the shift knob screws onto. Without doing so it seems you cant get this part of it to fit into the shift hole in the frame.B)

Hmmm, funny you should mention this. Member Tom Schmidt and I beat the ever-loving snot out of one yesterday to try to break a tractor in half. We couldn't get it and decided to take apart the other end.
