Fuel pump replacement on K301

My current fuel pump is an A-235807. It looks like this has been superceded by 4755911S, can someone confirm this for me? Also, it appears there are several places where I can buy this replacement, but most are plastic AND do NOT have a primer lever. What is the expert's opinion on whether I need to be concerned with one of these plastic ones with no primer?? Below are a few options I found, any better/worse than others? Thanks in advance for the help! Hi, Kohler has discontinued almost all of the metal pumps, and has combined several numbers into a kit with a plastic pump and several fittings to cover these numbers. The primer lever is typically unneeded and is a place to develop and air leak into the crankcase. Don't remember seeing any on the new replacement pumps. Al Eden

So it sounds like one of the plastic Kohler replacements is the way to go. Is there any difference between the 3 I have links to? Or should I get one from some other location? I just want to make sure I get what I need and don't over pay. Thanks!

Is the old fuel pump housing broken? I believe they sell rebuild kits for them that should fix the broken diaphragms and springs. I changed one 5 years ago and it was a piece of cake.
