Mower arbor interchange problem

I had a failure of a mower deck pulley, that let the key move and wallow out the key slot, ruining the arbor shaft. I found another arbor on Ebay, bought it and installed it, but have a problem. The other two arbors on the deck have a flat bottom between the two mountin bolt holes, while this one has a raised area where the hole in the center of the blade would be. My current blade won't fit this new arbor as the hole in the center of the blade is too small. I had bought a set of three mandrels and arbor shafts, and all of them are like this. I looked at all my FDT decks and they all seem to have this as well. Can I just grind this flat? Or do I need to find some of the older type blades with the big hole?
