what year are 4040

I was trying to find the year of my 4040, I think its a 72 but not sure. any one know if their is a # that can tell me the year and its location thanks.

Power Max 4040 1970 - 1974 There is no number that can tell you that. Simplicity and Allis Chalmers garden tractors were sold by model no by year. If the engine is original to the tractor you might get it close by the engine code numbers.
