Broadmoor Problems

Hey guy's, A wile back I got my 10 doller Boadmoor It had a problem with the HI LO so I took every thing off to make it stay in HI no lever to move in to LO. So I tor the thing apart and the tractor run's and all but it will not move every thing spins then you have to push it then it will move. I think it's the belt sliping when it's in gear when it's nurtal it spins fine. How can it fix this? Thanks

I had a similar problem with a yeoman with hi-lo. The problem was that when it was shifted to hi, it was moving too far and the drive gear inside was actually sliding past and dis-engaging. If you clutch is working ok, try to pull the housing on the hi-lo away from the transmission a bit, like you were shifting to lo, but only a little bit and see if that helps. If that is the problem, I fixed mine by putting a shim inside the hi-lo housing to keep it from going so far. There are pics of this in a post a while back that you can probably search for and find if you need it. Steve

I'm feeling Deja vu.... Here's a few links to Steve's Hi-Lo repair posts - I used the search feature by narrowing results for exact phrase, "Hi-Lo" , by subject line only, by author "steve-wis" and by date, March 2007 to present. Hope this helps. Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
