Hi all, Well my new B&S twin IC engine arrived last night and after "adjusting" the muffler and mount with a large ball peen, vise, and a grinder so that it fit aound the new governer assembley, I have a new power plant in the old Deutz. Just wanted to ask if anyone knows of anything special I should do for the first start up or as far as break in goes. Thanks for the help, Paul

Can't think of anything special to do, other than running it gently for a while and not under load. I always add a lubricity additive known an PowerUp to the oil of all my engines now, and also run a little through the gas in new engines and every once in a while for my other engines. I was not a big fan of these additives in the distant past, but this one is pretty amazing. It has definately extended the life of some of my small and large truck engines over the past 15 years. Did you put in the older style L-head horizontally opposed, or were you able to fit in a V-twin (like an Intek I/C)? Pat
