Im looking at a 4040... I dont think the gears are shifting... is there a shifting fork on this beast that will break?? how difficult is it to get into the gearbox.... what is a reasonable price for a tractor with one gear??? otherwise the tractor is good... new pistons, bearings, kohler regulator per sandy lake, etc..... any and all comments needed and appreciated thanks

im guessing a roll pin or ??? is not allowing the shifter to function. Is this a reasonable guess? is it difficult to replace shifter forks or????? how difficult is it to service the transmission? (is disassembly of frame necessary?)

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
