allis 912 eng. Bought the cub

Will a engine from a 147 cub cadet fit.It is a kohler.The cub is in running condition. paid 100.00 bucks for it.I am going to put it in the allis sometime.

Yes, oil pans are easy to change, but the cub block won't have the ears on the side that the oil pan bolts to. The cub pan bolts from the bottom up. I built spacer blocks and had to clearance the frame for a 16 kohler off a cub to put on my 914. It can be done, but it isn't a direct fit. Easiest would be to find a wheelhorse motor since they do mount the same as simplicity. Jim

NO it will not work cub have a narrow block and the bolts come up from the bottom to bolt pan on. simplicity have wide blocks were the bolts come from the top and bolt the pan to the block. I knew this because my friend is big into cub cushi#s.
