Got a sunstar off cl the other day owner said it ran. When I get there he has battery charger on it says it wont start but I just had it running and mowed with it 2 weeks ago. Dribbled a little gas in carb fired right up. Soon as the gas is gone dies. Figure it is something in carb since fuel pump is working. Where would you guys start? Thanks

Probably a small chunk of dirt in the main or idle jet. Carb needs to be taken apart and cleaned with compressed air. Take jets out and look through to a light source. You should be able to see the light. If not try using a tip cleaner from a torch set to clean out jet. Should be an easy fix. Good luck.

Yeah, I noticed a Sunstar on Columbia craigslist, looked like it was in pretty nice shape.
