AC 300 snowblower manual lift trouble

Recommended Posts

I am having some trouble with the lift mechanism on my blower. I got everything hooked up except for the springs on the front. My tractor is manual lift... I have a counter weight in the back hitch. The problem Im having is the lift arm doesnt stay in the lifted position ... it falls out of the notch... there doesnt seem to be wear on the notch or the metal that goes into it.... could the spring in the lift arm be weak(thumb button)? any ideas?

Try tightening the nut/ thumb button down some. Also the rear counter weight will not help offset the weight of the blower, because the front attachment lifts simultaneously with the rear.
