2010 Crank Pulley

I'm changing out my coil after the mice moved in. Fun job- had to pull the loader off to pull the motor. The crank pulley is giving me trouble coming off. Does that require a puller to remove it? I was pretty sure a couple of shots with the hammer would do it, but no go.

Tom, It is like any other pulley. Sometimes they come off easily, and sometimes they can be a real pain. It usually depends on the damage done to the shaft and the key when the set screws were tightened down.

I pretty much figured it was just rigor mortis, but you never know. Been lucky all these years- pulled motors off a dozen other things but I never had to pull a cast iron Briggs apart! Thanx for helping out a part time member Rod!
