found this one listed under the antique section on craigslist. he had it listed as a 1959 Allis w/no pics. it was only 20min away and the price was right so i jumped on it. he said it has a 12hp in it, but i have not had a chance to check it out yet. what do you'all think it is ?. it has the early style grill emblem. id say B-10 or B12 but the black seat is throwing me off. all my other B-10's have had a white seat. now i have seen some retro fitted gas tanks in the past, but this one tops them all sm00. I have the exact same gas tank in a 3112H, only they didn't hack the hood, it didn't have one. That is why I got it cheap because the repair shop that had it couldn't find a hood. What I didn't tell them was I had one.

At least the upholstery is intact. Quite intact, though weren't the black seats an early Simplicity thing? Nice masking on the dash too...

Early B-10 with a funky gas tank I can't beleave what people do.I would find the write tank and another hood thats all togther and with a little TLC you have a nice early model B-10.

Weren't the Simplicity built Squire 9's the same color as that mower deck? Maybe that's where the seat came from, they were black if memory serves correct?

Well you done good even with the gas tank. the early B-10 grills are almost always chewed up and the emblems are most of the time gone missing. Those are the two hardest parts of the tractors to find when restoring one, and you have them both!:D

I'm with Storm. The front bearing plate is conical in shape which was only used on the 23D 9hp engines and the smaller and earlier model 19s. I say good find!!!!!
