Need the length of the spout rotation rod (T handled rod) on a 42" snowblower. Is it the same as on a 36"? Need to retrofit/make one. Thx

Hi Gene. I think its around 48." Both the 1690032 and 1690033 blowers (32" and 42") use the same rod. If this is for an FDT, the length may differ somewhat.

Like burntime says, make it to fit. I have a 32 inch blower on my 616 and when I raised it the rod would come down right on my knee, so it got cut off about 8 inches and now it works fine. It would be easy to get a piece of steel tubing that slips over the rod and then cut the rod and make it adjustable. Just use set screws in the tube to lock it to the shaft on each end, and you have a custom adjustable rod. A piece of stiff hose slipped over with hose clamps would work too. Steve
