o-ring replacement on peerless hydro

Does anyone know if I can just slide out the disengagement shaft on a peerless hydro for a 1616 (616 Deutz) to replace the o-ring or do I have to go inside the unit? Paul

The 616 used an Eaton hydro. The o ring sealing the pin guide bushing to the case can be replaced by screwing out the bushing but the o ring inside the bushing sealing it to the pin requires disassembly of hydro to access. Bill
