Has anyone used a unit off one of these to make a 1 row garden planter ? I got a deal on one of these and would like to make a pumpkin planter out of it ..

Should work fine as long as you can mount it so the body is level and get everything turning freely. The rear wheel powers the seed plates so there can't be much drag when you're pulling it or the gauge wheel will drag.

Looks like an old AC notil or Sod planter as they were called way back when.I'm thinking of converting one over now will make it a Cat 0.Main thing is getting the right height and angle.I'm mounting the hitch rigid but use a chain for the toplink to get it some flex.Plate adapters are available to use plastic plates also AC had many different plates I found and bought a group of about 50 pairs of original plates a couple years ago. Some older Deere planters used the same plates
