D-17_Dave 12 Posted December 22, 2009 Made by Poulan..:Y Course they were made when Poulan was half decent. These saws are very sought after and collectable. At one time AC, Deere, and IH all marketed a full line of home appliances, hand tools, yard equipment, and so on. They were competing with Sears for the rural home market to single family farms. Kind of a one stop shopping place. Normally the farmer would owe the farm supplier and equipment dealer the most. This was a way for the dealer to capture the clients market share and insure he got the first crop money.
