Recommended Posts

Did any of the AC or Simplicity garden type tractors have seperate rear wheel brakes?? I know some of the larger field tractors do-- is that for tight turns or??? Thanks.

the powermax sized tractors do, I dont know if any of the others do. The are used to either make sharper turns and to help steer in mud snow and to hold you into a hill, they are often referred to steering brakes

Never used them on the Sunstar that I had. Never use them on the Kubota I have. Friends with the 300 and 400 series JDs never use theirs either. Used them all the time on narrow front Ag tractors with NO power steering.
