Do I add a front bucket or not?

I just purchased a Simplicity 7116 tractor (16hp)with 48 inch deck. What an incredible cut! Anyway... A need has developed for a front bucket as well. Something similar to a cad plans type hydro. Can the simplicity handle it or should i find an older tractor to just use for the bucket attachment. Not for everyday use just when we need to move something around the yard....mulch, topsoil, etc. What do you think?

Sounds like a good excuse for another tractor!!! You can't have enough you know. Plus you don't want the hassle of taking the loader off, putting it on, etc. Go for it. Get another tractor - and get a big one while you are at it. Steve

If you want more tractors, this is as good a reason as any to buy another one. But I'm from the "less is more" camp. It looks to me that the Johnny Bucket would keep you busy with one tractor, would do a lot of work and is probably removable. Is it, John? -Don M

Don, I designed the Johnny Bucket Jr. to connect to the standard front hitch points. Just two pins and a lift link and your ready to go as seen below. 1 minute max. John http://www.johnnybucket.com/images/Simplicity%20JBJr/S%20L%20bucket%20off.JPG

Sean, Yes those Cad Plan loaders are great. But if you have a common yard like I do, you probably don't need to load trucks and trailers at your home. You probably have a load of material dropped off and you either shovel material in a trailer or a wheel barrow and distribute it around the yard. Have you considerd my Johnny Bucket Jr. material transport bucket solution? Doesn't lift high, but moves allot of material. No sense in using a sledge hammer to swat a fly. Check out my site below and especilly go to the user gallery and download the movies of Rick Anderson moving dirt. Thanks, John[A href='http://www.johnnybucket.com/'][img src='http://www.johnnybucket.com/images/Simplicity%20JBJr/S%20front%20up.JPG'][/a]
