B-1 ammeter

Recommended Posts

at the Florida Flywheeler's show last week, i had one of 5 B-1s. mine is a 1961 model, unrestored. two of the others are restored. the fourth is for sale-has been for a couple of shows-for $300, unrestored and with no goodies, not even the lift handle. the 5th one showed up on the last day of the show. the lady driving it could not give me any info on it as they had only owned it for two days. what attracted my attention was that it has an ammeter, just above the kill switch. i am wondering if this was a factory option, a later model item, or something a previous owner installed. (i did not have the oportunity to go back to look at any of the other B-1s to see if they had the ammeter) can anyone shed some light on this subject?

I have two that I got free this weekend. Onew has the ammeter above the kill switch. The other must be a earlier model because it doesnt have it.
