Painting a burnt tractor

Recommended Posts

I recently picked up a tractor that had been in a grass fire. Question is are the sheet metal, frame, and wheels worth trying to paint or are they a lost cause and why. Thanks in advance. Sean.

Sand blasting is about a must as well as coating the metal w/ some type of inhibitor to prevent later contamination. Sheet metal parts I wouldn't worry too much about. Engines and trannies would concern me if they were very hot.
