Onin engine

well, i finally asked my good friend Don if I could have another look around his place today. i had been holding off cause his wife was really really sick, she pulled through and has been ok for over a month or so. I will see him at breakfast around 6:00 tomorrow morning and i'm gonna ask him about three things. (1) simplicity lanlord 101 (2) simplicity system 5008 (3) 16 horse onin twin on an old sears I saw today. my question, On the engine, what should i look for? is there anything to specificly look for? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

What are you looking for to use the Onan engine on? If it's off a Sears it won't interchange with anything Simplicity uses.

Parts for onan engines are pretty expensive, you can get them at Cummins dealers. Don't really know anything else about them, other than those old Onan-powered suburbans were pretty tough machines.
