Burntime 1 Posted February 3, 2010 Thats what it was like with the bad muffler. Wow what a difference. The end of the canister fell of on my kt-17. I actually had an extra so I am back in business! Here are a few pics if anyone wants to see what the inside looks like. Btw, I ran it like this for a month or so. Never thought about it until now...does it do any damage to the machine? BLT 708 Posted February 3, 2010 The only damage done is your eardrums, don't hurt the engine a bit.:D:D
xenon172 0 Posted February 3, 2010 The engine might run a little leaner but not enough to do any damage. You might have also gained a little in horse power
Blazerjeepman3 2 Posted February 3, 2010 Less backpressure ,might run up the rpm quicker, little more power, some back pressure could help the torque output.Sort of like tuned exhaust for motor cycles.

427435 0 Posted February 3, 2010 I had that happen also. Fortunately, I was able to weld the end cap back on. It sure is loud though.
