Plenty of snow

This is a picture of the snow in Wayne County. The snow is up to the top of our raised garden which is 30 inches high off the drive. First picture is the flower bed where a 70x20 ft silo stood and you cant ever see our driveway anywhere. Looks like the cab I built on my 6216 is going be great to have with this wind. I looked like a human snow cone last year. I hope the blower holds up.

I'm gonna need a bigger tractor! Definitely have to get a front-mounted blower and cab for next winter. Everything's buried and we have another 12 hours or so of more snow.

You guys are lucky here in NY long island it went from 15 inches to now it looks like 3 inches. News casters pumped me up then shot me down.

I'm gonna have to run the snowblower (walk behind) to clear the first 18 inches or so... then after that I'll plow but I have to get the bulk of it thrown over my retaining wall into the back yard first.

Nice looking tractors! The B1 is working well and the ones that are resting are what I would have preferred. Here are some pics my wife took while I was clearing. Took me 2 1/2 hours. 200 ft drive and another 80 to the barn. Glad I made a cab even if it is sort of weird looking. By my garage door

Couldn't see the drive...good thing I put stakes out with lights on.

That's a good looking cab! But I'll bet it's an absolute thing of beauty from the inside!! Great pictures. You guys can keep that stuff south for all I care.

Larry- Comet 66 is right---the best part of that cab is that you stay warm and dry. I had planned to build one like that for my Sovereign until I was lucky enough to find a good one in December. It ain't how it looks-- it's how it works!

I will say this. It is light. easy to get in and out of, cost me about $75 to build and I acutally sweat in it if I'm in there very long. I can take it off and I didn't have to alter the tractor. The engine and the seat and gas tank can all be accessed while it is on. I did need my wiper and of course that is when it decided not to work. When I got finished I checked the fuse and sure enough it was blown. I think when I tested my defroster it may have blown because the wiper never did that before. I don't think I'll need the defroster however. Nice to have though. For those who missed the building of it here are the links for it covered and uncovered. http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=107970&SearchTerms=ac%5Fb%2B1novice http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=107987&SearchTerms=ac%5Fb%2B1novice Everyone here was very encouraging while I was building it. My wife doesn't think much of its looks......what do women know???
