Smiling Sam-Running Board Questions

Sam, Didn't your boys mount a set of running boards onto a FTD? I need to make floorboards for the loader, and thought I remembered your boys mounting a set. Do you remember the details? My loader tractor is a B-110, one of the Shorter FTD's, I'm thinking that they mounted them on a 112 or something with the longer sideplates? Just trying to keep fabrication down, and keep it sort of OEM looking. Thanks Greg

Greg, I don't know about Sam's kids running boards install, but Rod is planning on mounting running boards on a FDT. He now has the running boards from the front half of the Homelite tractor I picked up from you a year or so ago. I believe he said they fit the FDT frame the best. I'm sure if he reads this, he'll comment.

Yes, they were running boards off an AC built Homelite. If I remember right, they pretty much bolt right on once you drill the corresponding holes into your Allis frame. The AC built Homelites are built and based on a standard B200 series frame. All that was done was a few extra holes were made in it and a front end frame assembly welded onto it. Heres the pictures, or at least what I managed to recover after my last picture hosting service went bust.

In my case Roy, I need floor boards (not Running boards) for my B-110 loader project. The standard loader floorboards are just diamond plate mounted to the sub frame. I thought using the homelite running boards would fill the space better, and look more OEM. The wheelbase of the B-110 is 4 " shorter than the 112 and 200 series. Where did they add the length? To the frame or the BGB plates? Might not be important, because Sams boys also swapped the Steering gear for clearance. Maybe I'll just have to make my own set of custom running boards for the loader :D Thanks

I think the added length comes from longer bevel gear box plates. I theink the forward frames are all the same length. These running boards should fit both 110 and 112 styles.

The ones I got from PhanDad look just like the ones in Sam's photos, except they are still blue. I plan on putting mine on a B110 frame also. From all indications, they should fit nicely. I just haven't gotten going on that project yet.
