well i just picked up a simplicity lawn tractor this afternoon... i had early release at school so i paid my neighbor a visit and he finally let it go. im picking it up tomorrow so i will post picks then. i do have one question, on my allis the gears are, Reverse, 1, 2, 3. on the simplicity the gears are Reverse, Hi, Lo. Is this normal?

We need to know what model Simplicity. On some of the small ones this would be correct--Two forward speeds and one reverse.

from looking at it and the simple tractors info, i am almost positive it is the 1966 broadmoor, but it could be the 1964 model too. is there any way of telling for sure?

Looks nice if you need something for it I have lots of extra parts for the old Broadmoors

He'll need a Hi Lo to fill in the extra hole in the fender. As well as to give him four forward speeds as opposed to two.
