the coating on the copper winding breaks down with age does anyone know if you recoat these windings on pto on osblete parts

Provided the windings are not shorted you can use Tung Oil to coat them. Works good. :)

Just about every electric clutch that I have taken apart shows some sign of cracking and swelling of the insulation. I don't know that it hurts anything as long as it stays dry. I think I'm going to try cleaning one with conact cleaner and then rub electronics silicone into the cracks and see how that works. Chris

It is to be some type of epoxies that is the original.
