Do 42"deck parts fit a 48" deck

I have a Simplicity 7014s(1978) with a 42" deck. Would a 48" deck that "fits sovereign and landlord models 7000/7100 series 1975 and newer" use the same parts ie the spindles and the whole mounting carriage as the 42"? I am looking at a 48" deck shell to purchase and use the parts off of my 42" Thanks. Steve

The only thing that will interchange are the spindle assemblies and the rollers themselves. The hanging assembly, roller bar, divider under the deck, and deck covers are all different. Sam

True,Sam is correct,,it's gonna cost more in extra parts to make it work than it's worth.
