Massey MF5

I am trying to assist someone who has a Massey Ferguson "5" lawn & garden tractor. That's the only marking on it, according to him. He says it is serial number 187000254. Says the MF dealer knows nothing about it. He just wants to figure out who made it, where to get parts, manual, etc. Was this model a Simplicity derivative, or is it from other years?
