will 16 hp briggs fit?

I have a Allis b112 that need an engine and I have found a 16 hp briggs that came out of a 70's tractor. it has the right crank and flywheel attachments and the newer style starter instead of the starter generator. I haven't looked at it yet but the guy says he can't find any numbers on it. Just wondered if anyone had put these newer engines in or if they will work? Thanks Chris

I have a B-112 with a 16hp Briggs and Stratton. It has the older style starter charger arrangement on it. I bought the tractor with this engine in it, so don't know what was involved with the installation, but it seems to work fine and has gobs of power. I haven't noticed any type of body or frame alterations, so I am assuming that it was pretty much an uneventful installation.
