Mower belt jumped now pulley feels loose?

Recommended Posts

Guest
Last week, before the monsoon, I was cutting the back forty with the 613H Duetz and 42" deck and the belt rolled and popped off. After close inspection I found the idler pulley had loosened and that allowed the belt to come off, but when I grabbed the pulley to put the belt back on I noticed it felt loose (like side to side loose). The bearing spins fine though. Can it be tightened? Is it the begining of the end for the bearing? Are they tough to change? Thanks, Warren

If the bolt securing the idler assy is tight and the pulley still woobles the entire assy must be replaced - the bearing is not removable.
