rpickle 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2010 Well, I've been w/o a rider since last fall. Not that it is killing me, but riding sure is faster. Anyway, I drove 2 hours north to get this. Sweet little guy. 1/3 of the way thru cutting the grass the deck belt broke.... Damn thing was about the thickness of a pencil. Picked up a belt at TSC and finished up the yard. I think it will do nicely! Hydro works well and the engine is smoke-free and smooth. I originally sold my working Honda rider last fall so I would put more emphasis on fixin' the others. Well, now I am working 60-70 hours/week and will be the rest of the summer. Not much time left for reassembling the works-in-progress! I think it weights well over 125 pounds! Has a pat on it dates to 1908! Rick

rpickle 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2010 Thanks! I think I will need a hoist, to hoist that hoist! One heavy deal. My wife made me laugh yesterday. As she knows I have a tractor "problem" she went with me to get the Coronet. All around happy except she wanted a bagger too. Anyway, when I got home, cut the grass then began taking pictures, she asked what I was doing. I said I wanted to share with the gents on the Simplicity tractor forum. She shook her head and said "I think you are tractor gay"! Maybe so honey, maybe so....
MPH 10 Report post Posted May 15, 2010 Wish my Cavilar made stripes, fun little machines to mow with. Looks like a nice one and you have some BEAUTIFUL grass to cut into beautiful stripes.
JimH 1 Report post Posted May 15, 2010 Those Coronet's are nice machines. Good luck with it. Sound's like you may be looking for a bagger if the wife gets her way.
rpickle 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2010 Yeah, I'll be scouring the classifieds.... It chewed it up pretty well, so the grass wasn't laying about. This is the first rear engine I've owned. It handles well specially with the hydro. Now I have to get a wrecking bar and/or the jaws of life in order to create some space in the shed..... wilm169 1 Report post Posted May 19, 2010 If it will make you wife happy I have a bagger #1690550 here that should fit it. Check the books out to make sure.

rpickle 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2010 Grafton is where I picked the tractor up at. Close to Medina. wilm169, thank you for the offer. It may go on, but I would rather wait on one that will bolt right up. My deck is a 34", which probably isn't too big of a deal. Hooking the rear part up may be difficult if the difference in mowers is significant. Rick
