removal of fuel inlet seat - kohler carb

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a kohler #30 carb for a K321 motor. It needs cleaning and a carb. kit, but it should work well. I want to disassemble everything except for the throttle and choke plates, and then soak in solvent. How does one remove the fuel inlet seat? It is a hex-nut style which appears to require a 3/8" socket. None of my sockets or open end wrenches will work, due to the tight clearances. Anyone have a solution for this?
