I did a similar jury rig to put a ball hitch on the blade bracket. It allowed me to move my trailers around. Steve

If you lower the back implement doesn't the front bracket lower as well and then drag in the dirt? I left my blower mount on when I put on the tiller but when I lowered the tiller the front bracket hit the ground. ?? Thanks Ken Williams

The link below shows how I modified the B-10 hitch to "fit" my 7012. Notice in photos #1 & #3 how I cut the diagonal bracket and bent it out of the way. I also had to round off the ears. I like your rake. What brand is it..? I have one similar that I salvaged from the scrap heap. How about posting some pictures of the rake hitch..? I'd like to see how you did it. If it's better than mine, I'll steal your idea.[A href='http://home.att.net/~herb.niewender/fronthitch/fronthitch.htm']http://home.att.net/~herb.niewender/fronthitch/fronthitch.htm[/a]

Dutch, before I wasted my rear pulley on the varyiable speed today in 3 hours of rakin roots and rock I found the dirt filters out of the debre mmmuch better at an angle and the debre winrows up, fit to scoop up if I had a Johnny bucket. Trying to rake the winrows with the rake straight drags all the dirt even tough its hard enough not to leave lug tracks in. MPH

You did a real nice job making that hitch. My rake just moves up & down. Do you find angling your rake useful..?

Ken, your front and back lift should work oppisete of each other. when lookin to put on a front wt I was going to make it solid instead of tieing up the front lift. Did a seach on this site to find out how much wt to put on it and learned why Simplicity made it as they are, a counter wt, Simple tech. My rake weighs about 140lbs, a real bear to manual lift til I added that simple tech. don't understand your snow blower deal. My rake came from Northern Hydralic, cost me more in shipping than the rake but a friend said he'll pay for it if I rake the roots and rocks out of his newly deforsted lawn, burned about 3 pick-up loads of rrots last aug but it quit raining enough to finish it. two days getting ready and I got about one hour of work done when my tranny locked in first gear, forward to the woods, put the extra wt off the front on the rake and turned it around by hand,no fun had today. Tryed to attach photo album early but wouldn't connect so I'll try a single of my hitch...MPH Keep getting same pic Dutch, must be something about this cut and paste stuff my son just taught me last nite I missed, Ill try it on a new entry. think I got it Dutch, Ill delete the new mess. I used 1/4 by 2in angle and some ole plate steel, figured my top angle by supporting the rake in the position I wanted it to sit. lift rod is an ole truck tire iron, to tuff to drill a hole in with anything I own so a piece of wire hold it in.[A href='http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1642272&a=12566023&p=49277709'][img src='http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1642272&a=12566023&p=49277709'][/a]
