aluminum booster fan - 917 repower

Recommended Posts

OK, Another question in my ongoing series of questions on swapping the 16 HP briggs single into my nearly dead 917. Attached is a pic of my booster fan, which appears to be aluminum. 1. Should this bolt right up to the 917 with the coupler from the 917? (I already have a driveshaft from a 7116 courtesy of RayS) 2. Is there any issue with it being aluminum? Did the 7000-series with 16 briggs engines use the same booster fan? Thanks,

Depends on which driveshaft you have. If it has the stub on the end you can use your rubber coupler but if it is flat you should use the fiber flex discs with spacers.
