DMedal 1 Posted May 20, 2010 Does someone have an Onan parts manual to look up a part number for me? The Onan engine is model # CCKB.MS / 2440H serial 174743082. It is on a Simplicity 4041. The part number I need is the starter. Was there more than one starter type for the CCKB? My new one sounds terrible, I'm trying to verify I got the right one, but that probably means pulling it again. It fit, I didn't compare the gears or anything. StanD 0 Posted May 20, 2010 There was 3 starters for the cckb. It lists 2 for your model, 191-0734 & 191-0922. Latest # for Spec J is 191-1052. I believe even the lastest # has been superseeded. Sounds like you may have mesh to tight on drive to flywheel. There is enough room in the holes to make them too loose or too tight. I usually spin them over before I reinstall the engine to avoid having to do it over.
midnightpumpkin 82 Posted May 21, 2010 Not an expert on the CCKB's, but I believe there are shims involved in mounting the starter. DMedal, send me an e-mail and I will send you the Parts list for the CCKB. John U
