MrSteele 476 Posted May 22, 2010 I am deciding on an engine for my 65 Landlord right now. I have the front end torn apart and am in the process of cleaning for some more paint. Standing above the front end, looking straight down on the axle, the axle appears to be closer to the engine deck on one side than the other. Nothing is bent, as I checked with a straightedge. There does not appear to be holes slotted for any kind of adjustment, but the right side is about 1/2" from the frame, and the left side just over 3/4". Is this normal? The center pivot bolt head reveals that on this tractor, that bolt is a common hardware store variety. Is it supposed to be a grade 5 or 8, and has been replaced at some time? If so, that might be the problem as it could be bent.
