PhanDad 3,248 Posted June 11, 2010 JJ, You're missing a few code digits. Usually the code is 7 or 8 digits long. First two are the year, second two the month, third two the day, and the final one or two are the manufacturing plant. The Briggs in my early B-110 (Serial #064200) is model 243431 type 0123-01 code 6710111 (October 11, 1967). So your engine could be a 1966, but "00" month doesn't make sense.
