3416 Starter belt change tips?

Finally have to change the starter/generator belt on my 3416. Pretty sure the original is still on it(wow). The driveshaft obviously has to be split, it looks like the 2 long bolts have spacers between the disk and crank. Can you take out 1 at a time, put thr belt halfway through, put the first bolt and spacer back, then do the second? I dont want to let the shaft flex anymore than necassary against the rear coupler.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
