Pretty neat! Thats the first 300 series I have actually seen someone mount the hydrolift on, and also put a tach into.

Coolest of that generation I've seen by far. Please post up some details of the unique items you've put together...

the tach w/ hour meter was a pretty nice original option for the 3/400's

Im having trouble seeing it... but ... is that a solid 300 series front axle or the bar stock 400 series front axle? sorta wondering if they were swappable.

Chris (Sammiefish), The drive pulley used is the same one used for the original B series. I did have to use a shorter drive shaft. The frame is from my dads 410S that he got back in the seventy's. The dash and steering box/wheel are from the first tractor I ever purchased, a 312V. Club member dlcentral near you, had or still has a gold 300/400 sickle mower.

What is that tachometer from ? is it original to that tractor ? I been looking for a smaller analog 0-4000rpm tach/hour meter combo. Thx F&F

That is the correct tach/hour meter for that series. There was also just an hour meter available. Bought mine NOS off ebay a few years ago. Kirk Engines has dash mounted tachs available for use with Kohler engines. http://www.kirkengines.com/ Or you could go here http://www.c-a-i.net/Pages/datTachHr.htm
