Post Pictures Of Your Seat?

I want to see what the seat on my landlord is supposed to look like just to make sure the cover that's on it now is correct. I went and talked to an upholstry shop today and he said $90.00 to recover it. 1964 Landlord.

Go here: http://www.simpletractors.com/Main/simplicity.htm and select a catalog by year to compare with your tractor.

$90 to recover it is too much. I remember seeing a link somewhere to ebay that had new covers for $25 or so. I'll look to see if I can find it again. Edit: I found the covers but now I'm not sure if they will work or not for the Landlord as these are listed for 600 and 700 series. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lawn-Tractor-Seat-Cushion-Simplicity-1960s-1970s-/380245437703?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item588864ed07

The difference is that is a "Sock" cover not a restored seat. 90 to do a full formed in seat is not all that high in my opinion as it took almost 45 for me to buy materials and a whole night of wrestling around with the metal edge.

Yeah you get what you pay for I guess,so I might as well do it right the first time,I cleaned up the seatpan and am taking it to the guy next week. Yeah I called the guy who was selling those covers on ebay and he was a jerk.

Not all Landlords had the nice pleated (stamped to look like pleated) seats. Some had the plain smooth seats. I love the pleated look so once your guy has a pattern, find out how much for him to make another? Doug

Well he told me $90 for doing it with the pleats and adding some foam to the existing. I am going to drop it off soon. I'll ask him for you Doug.

Well I got it blasted and painted up and I am going to drop it off monday, and I'll ask him then about a pattern for more covers. I am going black with white stitching since I don't have much white on the tractor yet.
