HB212 Hydro Fluid

Recommended Posts

I have a Vickers tranmission with a small but persistant leak from between the flanges. About 2 quarts/year. Small but annoying. I've heard there is two types of fluid avalable, Dextron (red) and a honey colored one. I'm told the honey one is of a higher viscosity. This might stop the leak.(?) Anyone know what the honey one is? Is it usable in the Vickers transmision? Rudy

The other would be a Simplicity or Allis power fluid. Agco calls it 821 XL. It is slightly heavier than the original Dexron ATF and would work if the system is drained & the new added-perhaps run a few minutes & change again to be sure of flushing out all ATF. Bill
