Sure nice to see i'm not the only one that does that but i found it alot better to put the steering gear back on whan i had to replace the shaft since i could not get the E clip on while i was looking up at it .

Roy, that was easy...the battery was toast. Just use it up and it will not leak:D Seriously I pulled it right after the pic. It was on end for all of 10 seconds.

"I pulled it right after the pic." Good idea. Battery acid running down into the dash tower isn't a good thing to have. Love the picture of the tractor "bowing". ^

The "tailstand" actually is the method pictured for Broadmoors and the open bottomed landlords in the master service manual. Of course the battery and engine oil has to come out first;)
