My friend tried the fork trick and it worked. Thanks. He said he could see no fluid in the transmission through the hole used to free the forks. New question - what is the proper fluid for the transmission and how much? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Brent

Copied from the handy-dandy Simplicity-provided lube chart in the Service Section: Broadmoor, Yeoman, and Serf Gear, Homesteader 8, 608, 610 Gear >> Cast Iron Tranaxle >> SAE 90 Gear Oil >> 32 oz. (Fill to bottom of fill plug hole)

I'm the friend with no problem now, thanks everyone. And I will fill it up with fluid and I'm sure that will help take care of any other problems. Great club. Thanks Mike
