BLT 708 Posted August 1, 2010 It is a MY 1967 machine. The S/N of the engine, a 8 or 10 digit number starting with 66 or 67 will confirm it. Simplicity has no public records of S/N's, but can zero you in closer with Briggs S/N. Model 300XXX - Type 0XXX-01 and S/N 67XXXXXX are located to the right of fuel filter and below decal on blower housing.

dennisil 2 Posted August 1, 2010 Thanks for the info on this tractor I picked this up from a friend of mine who is also a junker, him and I was talking back in June about garden tractors and I told him not to scrap any until I had a chance to look them over. He pointed out the window and said there was a simplicity out by the drive went and looked at it and told him I would check it out and get back to him. Went back over the 4th and bought it and another homebuilt tractor from him. I was there for three days and before I left he got in another Simplicity and an AC712 hydro two decks and a snow blower so I just took them all have all but the home built at home now. Had to bring everything 500 miles home. Here are some Pictures of my hall This is the Homebuilt Parts tractor The AC not sure what I will do with this one part or sell don't have a motor with it altho I do have a k301 needing a home would have to get the parts to connect it up

GregB 879 Posted August 2, 2010 Don't be so quick to call the home built, a home built. It looks a little bit like the Gibson tractor that the father in-law restored. Wisconsin single, magneto ignition. What kind of rear axle does it have? Go do a web search on Gibson and compare the pictures.
B10Dave 1,665 Posted August 2, 2010 Greg. Not even close to a Gibson. They had an oval ended gas tank, AEH Wisconsin engine, 24in. rear tires,12in. fronts, cast front axle with Gibson cast into it etc. etc. etc. I know because I have two. If a tractor shares your name you have to have at least one. B10Dave(Gibson)

I need to have some made but I don't have a good original to have used as a template. Thanks Doug
