osenga 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2010 got one of the 7100's out to hauls some stuff out to the sged to store it out there when I was on way out to get my yard trailer. That tractor started makeing a grinding sound coming from under the seat and it is loud . The BGB is just redone and it is all good and tight like it should be . But when this happened I unhooked the drive shaft and the hydro belt to double check the shafts and the is no to very little play in them. So i was wondering if this would be the differential or something inside the casing of the rearend????? Any ideas drainging the fluid now to see if there is anything in the fluid lets hope not . But when it do do this I was going forward then the grinding started and tractor came to stop ( I never moved hydro lever to stop it ) then it took off again.. Seems strange to me .
