BMinor8806 0 Posted August 18, 2010 What is the purpose of the spring that goes from the top of the transmission down to (I'm guessing) the control pintle on the Vickers Hydro? Also I just converted my B-112 to a HB-112 and the seat pan from my donor tractor rests on the transmission, how do I fix this? Brandon
larry8200 4 Posted August 18, 2010 As far as I can tell this spring takes up any slop in the linkage and keeps it from rattling. I suspect that without it you might get some "surging" from the hydro. I put seat hinges on once, and had to grind the heads down to 3/16 thick on the right hinge to keep them from hitting, so it's a tight fit. This is a 3416H and I cant say what you might do on a 112 to raise the seat pan.
