3310V Pto problem

Recommended Posts

bigdog46
I have a recently acquired Simplicity 3310V tractor with a 42" deck. When I engage the pto for the deck, the idler pulley rubs against the pulley on the bgb. Is there an adjustment I can make to eliminate this problem? Thanks. Gary.

Might try a hair shorter belt on the PTO. You may need to adjust the point of engagement but it should eliminate the rub....had the same thing on my 3314V and went to a 28" belt and that took care of it.

Also if the belt from the swing arbor to the mower deck is too long, then the swing arm is sitting too far back and it changes the spacing between the drive pulley and driven pulley on the PTO. A belt that is too short does the same.
