Dave-Saratoga 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2010 does anyone have any suggestions to stop the gears from grinding when shifting between forward and reverse on a 60s vintage b-series 3-speed transmission? The degree of grinding appears to be variable, sometimes it's pretty extreme. It seems to get worse after the tractor has warmed up. Thanks in advance

SmilinSam 1,317 Report post Posted August 29, 2010 Its all in getting the belt stops adjust correctly so the pulleys wont keep turning when the clutch is pushed in.
ReedS 3 Report post Posted August 29, 2010 If you have the three piece bgb output pulley (to transmission) make sure the nylon pieces are in good condition!
