Sundstrand Hydro Question

Recommended Posts

Cap is circled in red:

I've found it best to check the level immediately after tractor was running and moving. If there is any "leak down" the fluid level will look OK, but actually be a little low.

My 3416H has a seperate reservoir with the Vickers hydro, you put 90 weight in the tube on the back, and dexron in the reservoir behind the BGB. The fill tube on the back of the 7112 has a fitting 2 inches longer, I wondered at that. But I got it now.

Above picture is from the Sundstrand repair manual and states the various oils allowed for use in a Sundstrand unit. If you have the remote filter just behind the BGB, you need Simplicity filter 1650954. That filter can be crossed to a Wix 51068 or NAPA 1068. If you have the short filter on the Sundstrand pump it is Simplicity part number 1671234. Crosses to a Wix 51335 or a NAPA 1335. The filter numbers are in the parts manual at the link below. http://www.simplicitymfg.com/manuals/ http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=heCBEN8.wJ1rE7CNj5kbp796Dq
