I live just west of you in Stillman Valley. Now the hitch which goes on the tractor doe sit have 2 pulleys, or only 1? The 2 pully hitch is designed for a PTO off the front of the engine. The 1 pully hitch is designed to go onto the same PTO as the mower deck with just he the idler pully moved on the tightener.

Yeah its got the two pullys on the end where it looks like it would dump up to the front crank and have the front pto drive, i just wanted to use the same drive like the deck i guess..

If your 7116 has a manual PTO on the front of the engine you could use that hitch you have. If it isn`t on the engine you are better off running off of the BGB with a single pulley hitch.

Yeah no front pto, i could buy one, but if there is a good way to make that thing sling snow with what would make sense to use the reg pully and pto thats the way i would like to do it. hope fully hes got one left, and pics on here that show the underneath set up?\

Here is the operators manual for when you get the correct hitch. I know that the Mfg. No. is different but is the correct one for a 7100 series tractor. The blower heads are the same they used different hitches. http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=jgEAGP_esN3tG5Exj7mRgtLvBCd6 You can download manuals at the link below. http://www.simplicitymfg.com/manuals/

  • 6 years later...

I am not able to get the link to manual downloads " http://www.simplicitymfg.com/manuals/ " or the burntime link " http://simpletractors.com/club2/pop_profile.asp?mode=display&id=9197 " to work. I have a 7114 that I am trying to hook a blower up to. Blower came with a hit that fits but the belt is too short to get around PTO, (Maybe 10 inches short) and the hitch does not have a pulley. Before I start fabing something up, is there an easy solution?

Thanks
Erik

In order to use the center PTO for the snow thrower, the idler pulley needs to have (2) mounting positions/tabs for the pulley. One for the mower deck and one for the snowblower. Because the top view angle of the belt changes between the two.

This is a REALLY old post, which is why the links are not working for you now.  Simplicity's new website to download manuals is

https://www.simplicitymfg.com/na/en_us/support/manuals.html

the Burntime link is here...

http://simpletractors.net/club2/pop_profile.asp?mode=display&id=9197

and I think RayS is now making the single pulley hitches (I bought one from him earlier this year)
